The Senior B Hurling team continued with their 100% league record with a win over St Peregrines in the AHL Division 3 game in Pairc Uí Mhurchú played on Wednesday 29th May.
The score was BBSE 1 – 20 St Peregrines 1 – 15. . This was probably Ballyboden’s toughest encounter to date in the league, due to a combination of a St Peregrines team being very much “up for the game” as well as Ballyboden being somewhat lack lustre especially in the 1st half.
Ballyboden led by 3 points at half time, having played with the advantage of a strong wind. However in the 2nd half the team “upped their game” and the defence in particular made a lot of good deliveries to the forward line. It still took an excellent goal by substitute Daniel O’Riordan late in the 2nd half to calm the nerves a little in what was a very competitive match.
