The club are delighted to announce the appointment of Emmet Crowley as our new Head of Athletic Development. Emmet will be responsible for our 4 seniors teams but will also be overseeing the whole athletic development program in the club from u13 to all the way up to our adult teams.
A Cork native, Emmet brings a wealth of experience to the role having previously worked with Na Piarsaigh GAA in Limerick, Cork GAA, University of Limerick GAA as well as a performance coach for Swim Ireland. He also has a PhD in Biomechanics and Strength & Conditioning from the University of Limerick.

 

Emmet will be assisted by Conor Dunne, our new Youth Athletic Development Coach. Conor’s main role is to implement an athletic development framework and programs for all our underage team from u13 to Minor. Conor’s background is in sports science and strength & conditioning with the Wexford Senior Footballers, Meteors Basketball Club and DBS Éanna Basketball. He is also a current footballer in the club.

 

The club would like to take this opportunity to thank Ed Slattery and Neil O’Connell for their service over the past few years, it is very much appreciated.

 

There will be an official launch of our athlete development program for all coaches over the coming weeks so keep an eye out for the date.
