Tues 29th Ballyboden St Endas A 3-14 St Brigids 0-8
Boden started the game at a high pace and picked off some fine scores from a variety of players. We managed sustained periods of pressure throughout the first half, and added 2 goals before the break to give a comfortable half time position. The pace dropped in the second half, but a third goal before the end put a fair reflection on the scoreboard.

FEILE Report
On a dull Saturday morning, the weather conditions certainly could’nt dampen the spirits of the Feile 2014 panel when they gathered at the Club ahead of the journey across to St Oliver Plunketts on the Navan Road. Spirits were high within the group as the girls looked forward to the day ahead.
The draw seemed a tough one, pairing us with St Patricks, Lucan Sarsfields & St Olafs.
First up were St Patricks in difficult weather conditions. The girls started as we had hoped, and recorded a convincing win. More of the same in the second fixture with Lucan Sarsfields, where once again the forwards were clinical, especially in the 2nd half. In the final group game St Olafs were put to the sword as we qualified with ease for the semi-final later in the afternoon.
In the semi-final our opponents were St Peregrines, and rain made an unwelcome return. Boden started well, but Peregrines came back strongly as the half went on, reducing the deficit to 1 goal at half time. This was the first time the Boden girls faced a test on the day, but we need not have worried about their response. We came out of the blocks quickly and some fine scores were picked off by various players, eventually running out comfortable winners to great cheers from the large Boden support.
The girls went home looking forward to the Final in O’Toole park on Sunday morning. Once again there was a great Boden crowd as the girls took the field against St Oliver Plunketts. Boden started well, but some good defending by Plunketts kept us out. As the half went on, Plunketts got on top and went in 2 goals ahead. Again the response from the Boden ladies was terrific, reducing the deficit to 1 point with 5 minutes remaining. However lady luck deserted us, as some great efforts went narrowly wide.
The girls can take great credit for how they performed throughout the weekend, and Captain Aisling Gargan spoke well in congratulating the victorious Plunketts girls. The girls, mentors & parents gathered in the Club later for well earned pizza. Many thanks to Liam Cunningham for the terrific display of photographs.
Again, well done to the girls, and to their mentors Jean Gargan, Sorcha Farrelly & Grace Maher.
