A good win on the playing field as the 3 Adult teams all recording good wins. On Tuesday the A’s travelled to Raheny with a youthful side and came away with the points. Final score Boden 2-12 Raheny 2-5, see here for a comprehensive match report from Grassrootsgaa.ie. This finished the Senior A League campaign, and a finishing position of equal 2nd is commendable, with many young players gaining valuable experience of playing in the top division.

On Thursday the B’s hosted Raheny and recorded a comprehensive win which puts us level on top of the table with Faughs. After a poor first outing, this makes 4 consecutive wins for the girls , no doubt St Finbarr’s will prove more difficult opposition this Thursday in Sancta Maria, throw-in 7.30pm.

Also on Thursday the C’s had a fine win over St Vincents. This team is holding their own in Division 5 after gaining promotion last year, and any defeats have been narrow ones. Their League now breaks until August.

On the Juvenile front the U14’s had a win over Bray in a close contest, and they host St Olafs this Saturday at 12  in Cherryfield knowing that a win will secure the League with a game to spare.

Congratulations to Aisling Gargan & Aoife Durkan who were on the Dublin U14B team who defeated Kilkenny to win the Leinster Championship on Sunday.

See here for this weeks Camogie fixtures.

Well done to both Senior Ladies football teams on their fine start to their respective Championship campaign’s last Wednesday, more of the same this week! Notable mention to the U16A Ladies Football on a terrific performance against Crokes on Friday.

Thursday 15th Ballyboden St Endas Senior B 11-15 Raheny 0-5

The Senior B side has been playing well lately, and were in no mood for sympathy against a disappointing Raheny side last Thursday in perfect conditions. In the first half, the Boden forward line put some terrific moves together and their finishing was of high quality. Management made a number of positional changes for the second half, resulting in some of the back-line contributing some fine scores. This Thursday will see a difficult assignment with St Finbarrs in Sancta Maria, a win here would set them up nicely for a tilt at League success after the Summer break.

Team: Danielle White, Jane Edwards, Rebeka Kamvar, Roisin Walsh, Orlaith Keane, Grainne Corcoran, Laura Burns, Karen Murphy,  Aisling O’Leary, Grace Walsh, Zenouska Murphy, Aoife Murphy, Sharon Glynn.

Thursday 15th Ballyboden Senior C 3-4  v  St Vincents 1-7

As anticipated this was a very tough and physical match and the night was uncharacteristically warm. Having lost their previous match by the single point our girls started with a determined attitude to gain the win.

Both teams in the first half of the match each score for score which showed a 1-4 to Ballyboden 1-5 to Vincent’s at half time. With strong encouragement from their coaches to continue as in the 1st half allowing the scores to come Boden piled on the pressure but equally had to defend a strong Vincent’s forward line . The final score was 3-4 to Boden and 1-7 to Vincent’s justifying the efforts of the girls. As the 2nd half of the League will not commence until August it will be onwards and upwards in the Summer Cup.

Team: Sorcha Farrelly, Meabh Dolan, Aisling Hayes, Rachel Walsh, Catherine McDonald, Brid Rynne, Laura Murphy, Aoife O’Shea, Aoife O’Brien, Ciara Lambert, Ciara Scallan, Aoife Barnes, Grace Maher, Ciara Dunne, Cliodhna MacNamara, Iseult Kelleher, Hannah Conway, Mary Ruth Healy
