It was a fairly quiet week on the Camogie front. The Senior C’s were the only of our Adult teams in Championshp action, and they had another terrific win, this time over neighbours Faughs. They now have a bye this weekend before hosing Lucan with a home semi-final the reward for the winners.

The Senior A’s return to Championship action this Sunday with Na Fianna the visitors, throw in 11am on Pairc Ui Murchu.

The Senior B’s await the outcome of the final game in their Group which takes place this Sunday, after which we will know our fate. There are a number of permutations, we should know more on Sunday evening.

Many thanks to all who supported our successful Table Quiz which took place last Thursday evening and raised in excess of e1,000. Well done also to quizmaster Bernard Curtis, a career in broadcasting awaits!

On the juvenile front well done to the U13A’s on a fine win away to Good Counsel which sees them advance to the semi-final stage.

Juvenile semi-finals take place on 11th & 12th October.

Notable mention also to our U11 teams who both recorded fine wins away to Lucan Sarsfields, maintaining their positions at the top of their respective League tables.

Hard luck to Rachel & Natalia in the All Ireland Final on Sunday.

Please support our teams !

Senior 6 Championship  Faughs 2-2  Ballyboden St Endas Senior C 6-6

Coming from an excellent win last week over Erin Go Bragh this team once again showed the unity and hard work which again resulted in a fine win. Made up of members that travelled from the four quarters of the country, 20 girls lined out and were eager to give their best. Straight from the throw in each they took control of their position and working together as a team scores followed and the defense were too taking control.

At half time the score 2-5 to 1-1 didn’t reflect the dominance of the Boden girls. In the second half when all subs were introduced the scores mounted with little or no reply and Boden ran home clear winners 6-6 to 2-2.

Our next outing will be against Lucan who no doubt will ask for even greater efforts of the girls
