Congratulations to Ciara Lucey on her nomination for an All-Star award this year.  Ciara”s Dad Peter is also in the running for Manager of the Year.

This year”s All Star team will be announced live on Saturday November 12th at a Gala Banquet in the CityWest Hotel. The awards, crafted by Jarlath Daly, will be presented by Guest of Honour, Ossie Kilkenny, chairperson of the Irish Sports Council, and Miriam O’Callaghan, President of Cumann Camógaíochta na nGael.

In all 37 players from nine counties have been nominated for the Camogie All Stars 2005. All Ireland champions, Cork, top the bill with ten nominations while beaten finalists, Tipperary, have seven, Wexford six, Galway and Dublin four, Kilkenny and Clare two and Limerick and Laois one.

Four players from the minor grade have been nominated for Young Player of the Year: Colette McSorley, Armagh, Katie Power, Kilkenny, Siobhán Flannery, Offaly, Aoife McLoughney, Tipperary.

A new addition to the awards this year is the Manager of the Year award. Nominated are Sharon Glynn (Galway), John Cronin (Cork) and Peter Lucey (Dublin).
