Coach Education

Coaching and Games: Coiste Oiliúna agus Cluichí.

Baile Buadáin Naomh Éanna.

The programme of Coaching and Games activities i mBaile Buadáin Naomh Éanna is devised and implemented by the club’s Coiste Oiliúna agus Cluichí, (Coaching and Games Committee) working in close collaboration with the Club Executive, the club’s C.P.D.M (Coach Player Development Manager) and the club’s G.P.O.

Underpinning all Coaching and Games activities are the club’s core values of:

The members on the Coiste Oiliúna agus Cluichí are representative of all four codes and representative of coaches working with the range of age groups that play and are coached in the club. The Cathaoirleach of An Coiste Oiliúna agus Cluichí is also a member of the Club Executive Committee and reports to the Executive Committee on a regular basis at the monthly meetings. The Cathaoirleach also liaises on an ongoing basis with the CPDM and the GPO and keeps the Club Chairperson briefed on developments.

At the beginning of each year an Annual Operating Plan is prepared and ratified by the Coiste Oiliúna agus Cluichí and is also presented to the Club Executive for ratification. The Plan is then communicated to all coaches and mentors. This plan details the programme of work for the coming year.

The primary aims of the programme are to:

  1. Provide ongoing opportunities for all coaches to upskill and develop as coaches.
  2. Develop a Coaching Pathway within our club.
  3. Provide our players with coaching and games opportunities of the highest standard.
  4. Develop an integrated Player Pathway for our players in all 4 codes.

At the heart of our Coaching and Games strategy is the creation of the best possible environment that will enable maximum participation with as many players playing for as long as possible and also ensuring that we are developing high quality players in all 4 codes who will ensure that our adult teams will continue to compete to excel in Dublin , Provincial and National club competitions.

Lámhleabhar 2024

Coiste Oiliúna agus Cluichí have developed a lámhleabhar that sets out the various policies and pathways, as well as providing information that will help mentors, parents and guardians make the most of their and their children’s involvement with the Club.

The handbook is a work in progress and will be updated annually. If you don’t find the answers that you are looking for, please contact the Club Coaching and Games Committee via [email protected] and we will try to include it in the next edition.
