The Annual Declan Maguire Memorial Tournament will take place on St. Stephen’s Day in PUM at 11.30am. This will be the 17th Anniversary of the tournament. Traditionally, two teams of club members participate with one representing Rathfarnham and the other representing Firhouse. Basically, if you turn right leaving the club, you are eligible to play with Rathfarnham and if you turn left, you play with Firhouse (some exceptions may apply!!). Last year’s match went to a Penalty Shootout!! It is a wonderful opportunity to get together and dust off the Christmas cobwebs, have the “craic” and remember one of our great players.
As in recent years, there is also a curtain raiser with an over 35 team challenging the Junior hurlers at 10.30am. If you still have a hurley (and a helmet), this may be your chance to relive former glories.
