FÓGRA – Best wishes to Timmy Hammersley as he takes up a new opportunity.
The Club wishes to let members know that our Coaching and Player Development Manager (CPDM), Timmy Hammersley has informed us that he’ll be departing from the role of CPDM at the end of August, to take up a position in the Ombudsman for Children’s Office. Since taking on the CPDM role over two years ago, Timmy has brought great energy, integrity, and structure to everything he has done and has been very collaborative in his approach.
Working with the Coiste Oiliúna agus Cluichí, the seven Coaching Work Groups and the Games Sections, achievements during his tenure include the introduction of Communities of Practice, informal and formal Coach Education, enhancement of our Athletic Development program, Boden sa Samhradh, Player and Coaching Pathway structures, Codes of Conduct, and a Mentor Ratification process. We’re delighted that Timmy will continue to contribute as a player with our senior hurlers and to contribute to coaching in Baile Buadáin Naomh Éanna as a volunteer.
We wish him every success in his new role and wish Timmy and Laura the very best on their upcoming marriage. Cuirimid gach beannacht chucu.
Timmy is committed to a structured and detailed handover to his successor and the process to recruit a new CPDM is now underway. The job description is available at the link below and will be advertised on LinkedIn. Links to the job posting will be circulated through social media. Members are asked to forward the advertisement to anyone they consider would be a good candidate.
