Before we get into them, congratulations to U21 Dublin players Robbie McDaid and Sam Molony as they easily outclassed Carlow (2-28 to 0-03) in the QF of the Leinster Championship, they now face Longford in the semis. Staying on the Dublin theme well done to our Dublin Senior trio of Declan O’Mahony, Dara Nelson and Michael Darragh Macauley as the Dubs put in a strong performance to beat Kildare by 1-22 to 1-12 in the National League in Croke Park.
The Junior A’s kept their fine form going also against Na Fianna and won by 2-14 to 1-11 while the Junior B’s lost out to St.OP/ER by 1-09 to 0-10.
Report:
Nine points up but the job was most certainly not done and the second half began with a score for the visitors. Again the response was swift and waves of Boden attacks kept the scoreboard ticking over, Davis’ backs growing increasingly desperate and conceding a number of frees duly dispatched. It was not all one way traffic though and the Boden backs worked hard to maintain their lead and two excellent saves from Daire Walsh kept a healthy gap between the teams. The management and players can take great encouragement on a fine display and hopefully can provide more of the same next time out against Vincents on 23/3/14.

Junior A 2-14 Na Fianna 1-11
Our Junior A team travelled to Mobhi road to face Na Fianna on the back of a good opening League win over Erins Isle. A tense first half by both teams saw the defences coming out on top. Boden had the better of the goal chances but we couldn’t put them away. Na Fianna were up by 2 at half time. A much improved showing by the Boden forwards got the scoreboard going and excellent shut out job by the full back line saw a much improved second half from the whole team. Boden pulled clear and won by 6 points in what was a tricky away fixture. We wish a speedy recovery to John Flemming after a nasty cut on the eye. Two wins from two is a great start to the league. Well done to both Mentors and players.

Colm O’Neill and Oisin O’Duill as Colaiste Eoin captured the Leinster Schools SFC ‘A’ title for the first time since 1998. Collie’s second half goal coupled with their overall hard work and some sterling defence paved the way for a merited victory

If you are roughly 40(ish) or over and fancy a game please contact Neil Buckingham on 0879710737. It will probably be your only chance to play International football…ever!
