Round Up
First up are the Dubs who claimed a Minor and Senior Leinster double in Croke Park on Sunday with the Minors defeating Kildare by 3-16 to 1-12 and the Seniors beating Meath by 3-20 to 1-10. Apart for our regular trio of Senior stars Michael-Darragh, Declan and Darragh, Boden were also well represented on the minors with coach Mark Fee and players Colm Basquel, Warren Egan, Shane Clayton and Barra McGarry.
Well done to both teams and in particular our own lads. Here’s hoping for an All-Ireland double in September!
Brendan Gillespies Minor C footballers finished their league season strongly with impressive wins over Sean Heuston Gaels and Lucan Sarsfields on Wednesday and Thursday evening last. On Wednesday, they had a hard- fought victory over a strong Gaels team consisting of players from James’ Gaels, Robert Emmets and Liffey Gaels. The final score of 3.11 to 1.8 does not reflect the closeness of the tie and it was only the superior fitness and teamwork of the Boden boys that saw them through in the end.
The following evening the team headed to Arthur Griffith Park to face Lucan in the final league game of the season. Trailing by a goal at half-time, the lads put in a barnstorming second half to run out winners on the score of 0.14 to 1.7. Well done to all the lads who put in a huge effort on two successive evenings, as well as throughout the league season, which saw them finish fourth in a very competitive division.

To put out 3 minor teams, even for a club of our size, is a terrific achievement and to remain competitive at this level is testament to the work put in by Brendan, his fellow mentors and the players. Well done to all concerned.
