Sunday 20th November 2016
Despite a reading of -2 on the thermometer, it was full-on fun as usual for the U9 Girls as they gathered for one last internal football and camogie blitz at a frosty Sancta Maria on Sunday morning. While most people were burrowing further under the covers, the hardy girls of the Boden U9s busied themselves making ‘frost angels’ on the white surface while waiting for proceedings to get underway.
Once the games got going though, it was full throttle all the way as well over 40 girls took part in 2 games of football and one of camogie in the last of the internal blitzes before the breakup. There was a great show of skill, effort and tenacity for the frozen parents huddled on the side-lines as the girls put in their usual full hearted display.
So, just one more training session, and a pizza and movie party, to bring their U9 adventure to an end. Well done to all the girls for all their effort and fun during the year – next up it’s U10’s football and camogie – and we are well ready for it.
