Our Junior D’s showed no respect for Seachtain na Gaeilge as a fine second half performance saw them beat NaGaeil Oga in Ballycullen on Sunday.

The early exchanges led to a couple of ambitious and wayward attempts at two pointers from Boden. Na Gaeil Oga scored a few points bbefore Aidan Dundon opened the Boden scoring. Stephen O’Connor added another but at half time Boden trailed 0-2 to 0-7.

After inspirational words from Eoin, Ron, Sean and Pat the team went back on for the second half and from the throw in Daniel O’Riordan scored a fine goal. The gap was suddenly down to two points.

Boden piled on the pressure with James Kinsella, Alex Murphy, Dara Kelly and Cathal Creed among others doing well. Pretty soon Boden were level with a free from Aidan Dundon and a point from Daniel O’Riordan. Na Gaeil Oga went down the other end of the pitch and took the lead again. Aido leveled it with a great point and as the clock ticked down Aidan Dundon got a massive two pointer to put Boden in the lead. There were scares as Boden played possession football for the last few minutes to try and wind down the clock. They held on for the win to leave themselves unbeaten in the first two matches of the season.
