U13 Girls Division 3 Championship Semi Final:
Ballyboden St. Endas B 2-6 Foxrock Cabinteely B 0-5
A very nervy start from both sides saw scores at a premium in the first half. Boden defended superbly and caused numerous turnovers with great tackling and blocking. Boden took the lead with a brace of points from Ellie McAree. A great goal on the turn from Dearbhla McCarthy on the stroke of half time gave Boden a 1-2 v 0-0 advantage.
Play opened up a bit more in the second half and points from Lucy Horan and Ellie McAree extended the Boden lead. The Foxrock Cabinteely opened their account and scored four points on the bounce to leave just a goal between the sides.
Boden redoubled their efforts and a fine point from Alannah Norris settled the nerves before a second goal came from Ellie McAree. A late point a piece finished the scoring and a tremendous team display was rewarded with a hard fought 2-6 v 0-5 victory. The final is scheduled for Saturday 15th October.
