Baile Buadáin Naomh Éanna 2-16  Cromghlinn 1-9

Páirc Uí Mhurchú, Domhnach 20 MeánFómhair 2020

Ná déan nós agus ná bris nós… but when our junior hurlers are on a winning streak in Páirc Uí Mhurchú it should really be designated as their home pitch! The lads lined out in green and white yesterday to facilitate our visitors from Crumlin. Crumlin were first to register a score but Boden responded immediately with and blitzed the opposition with eight unanswered points to lead by seven points at the first water break. As with many an encounter,  the water break did Ballyboden no favours and Crumlin regrouped to fight back with four unanswered points of their own. Boden took a fine score from Eoin Duignan before just half time to lead by four at the break.

The start of the second half was nip and tuck but after a fine goal from Hugh Nolan Boden
finally seemed to be on the way to putting this game to bed for good. Boden led 1-12 to 0-7 at the second water break. However, an aerial bomb at the start of the final period caused a kerfuffle in the small parallelogram and the sliotar eventually found its way into the back of the net. Game on again! Fresh legs were required and Boden emptied the bench immediately, with the desired effect.

Boden ran out well-deserved winners 2-16 to 1-9.
