We are thrilled to announce a momentous occasion for Ballyboden St Enda’s, as we celebrated two significant milestones on June 12th. In a packed clubhouse filled with enthusiastic members, we proudly unveiled our new club jersey and simultaneously renewed our partnership with UPMC/SSC as our main club sponsor for an additional three years.

For 21 years, our club jersey remained unchanged, a testament to our enduring tradition. However, with our membership numbers consistently growing and our partnership with our trusted teamwear provider, the time had come to thoughtfully reimagine our iconic design. The jersey of Ballyboden St Enda’s is more than mere sportswear—it’s a living narrative that spans over seven decades. Our latest design is a carefully crafted tribute to our heritage. Each stitch and detail tells a story of our club’s journey, honouring those who came before while embracing the future.

Our club Sponsor UMPC SSC are no strangers to people involved in the sporting world but also to many families who use their facilities across the country. We are delighted they have continued their support in Ballyboden St Enda’s.
Chairman Donagh O’Farrell continued “UMPC SSC’s mission is to deliver the highest standard of diagnosis, treatment & recovery care for its patients and in Ballyboden St Enda’s we strive to deliver the highest standard for our members so we feel the partnership with UMPC/SSC is a great fit and we are delighted and very grateful to have them on board for the next three years.”

UMPC/SSC have many sporting clubs and organisations interested in their partnership but Head of Marketing for UMPC/SSC Daithí de Róiste spoke about the extension of the current sponsorship contract “UMPC Sports Surgery Clinic is delighted to be partnered with Ballyboden St Enda’s for another three years. For us it’s really important to see the growth in Ballyboden and hopefully the club will go from strength to strength. It’s great to see our expertise as the Premier Orthopaedic Hospital in Europe link within communities but also the long-standing link with UMPC/SSC and the Moran Family.

Creating a jersey is no easy task, between the design, fabric and sizing, it’s a tedious process but we are delighted with the outcome. Our relationship with KCS started in 2024 and was a seamless transition. They took onboard our member numbers, how busy the club is day to day, and our thoughts and views on what products we would like to sell in our very successful club shop. CEO of KCS Eddie Casey is delighted with the transition and the opportunity to showcase KCS and Ballyboden St Enda’s at its best “This partnership with Ballyboden St Endas represents an important opportunity for KCS to consolidate its presence in the Irish Sportswear market. We are excited to partner with a club that has such a rich and successful tradition, and we are confident that our company and dedicated staff will help take Ballyboden St Endas to new heights, both on and off the field.‘

Our Launch night was mc’d by club member Derek Ryan and finished with a question-and-answer section with former players and current club coaches Stephen Hiney and Joanne O Sullivan. Both players spoke about their time in the club, when they started in the academy, their first coaches, ending with how Ballyboden St Enda’s is all about community and how it’s a special place for them, their families and their future.

The new jersey sports the Blue and White stripes with a hint of green in our logo but the new additions include a blue collar and inscription of “An Claidheamh Soluis” (Sword of Light) on the jersey. There is a new QR code stitched to the jersey which directs you to the history of the club on Ballyboden.ie and also extra detail on the sleeve. The new motto “Claidheamh Ar Iompar” (Carrying the sword) will be promoted amongst all teams (both Juvenile & Senior) showing where we have come from. Finally four Juvenile players, Aodhán Healy, Tomás Heavin, Mia O’Connell and Julianne Reynolds took to the stage to remind us about the past of Ballyboden St Enda’s and what the new motto means to club members both here and abroad.

A great night had by all , thanks to all who contributed. Boden Abú!!
