Our G4M&O had a great game of football when they hosted neighbours Ballyboden Wanderers on Saturday afternoon in Sancta Maria on the All Weather pitch. With a number of new joins recently, some of our ladies played their first ever GAA game!
The girls had great support from the sidelines from friends and family, and it was special to see kids supporting their mothers shouting out and encouraging them on in a role reversal! The team have been training well over the last few weeks and the game gave everyone a chance to put into practice the skills they have learnt recently. Having a local team to play against is always handy for travel so our G4M&O’s are looking forward to a trip up the mountains soon for a return game.
New members (over 25yrs) are always welcome. Training takes place on Tuesdays at 8.30pm in Sancta Maria & the ladies play one match per month.
