Our Minor C Ladies are through to their Championship Semi Final
Match Report from last Group Stage game on Monday 12th September, Minor Ladies Football Championship.
On Monday evening, our Ladies Minor C team made the short trip to Kilnamanagh, Tallaght to play St Kevins/Killians in the last group game of Championship. Having suffered a heavy defeat to Kevins/Killians in June, there were concerns heading there about how the encounter was going to go but there was no need … 3 goals and a point to no score after 10 minutes eased the fears! While the conditions weren’t great due to heavy rain and a soggy pitch, the girls moved the ball well and added a few more scores before half time.
The motivational half time speech centred around winning the game to ensure the girls would get to play the semi final at home and not have to travel northside to Clontarf! That was enough to close the deal!! Back out for the 2nd half and it was all business despite a late rally by the hosts Ballyboden were home and not dry! Final Score BBSE 9:05 St Kevins/Killians 1:08
It was a great game for the girls and management with some great passing, teamwork and some fantastic scores
Well done ladies!!
