Kilmacud Crokes 3-07 Ballyboden St Endas 3-22
The Ballyboden Senior A Camogie team got their 2022 campaign off to a winning start in Silver Park on a sunny Spring morning last Sunday.
Playing against a stiff breeze in the first half,
Boden started well and went ahead scoring a couple of points from play. Crokes however, with the wind at their back struck quickly for a brace of goals to peg back the Boden lead. The game was very open and free flowing with good scores from both sides and half time reached with Boden leading by a goal; 3-04 to Crokes 2-10 to Boden.
Playing with the wind now in the second half, Boden upped the ante and picked off several scores from play and from placed balls. A Boden goal quickly followed leaving Crokes with a mountain to climb. Boden ran out winners quite comfortably in the end with several players registering on the scoreboard. This was a strong showing from Boden especially with a number of new younger players stepping up to the Senior team.
