Our Senior A Camogie team returned to the playing pitches and dusted off the cobwebs with a 1-10 to 0-7 win in the first round of the Leinster League against Ballinteer St. John’s at Pairc Ui Murchu on Sunday morning.
Although playing with a stiff breeze in the first half, scores were hard to come by and a 0-5 to 0-3 lead for Boden at half time looked insufficient against a lively Ballinteer team. However, Boden’s hurling improved as the game progressed and a goaled free from Dervla Brennan halfway through the second half gave them a lead that they never relinquished.
Next up in the Leinster League is an away game with Rathnure of Wexford on Sunday next 17 February followed the following Sunday back in PUM against St. Brigids of Kilkenny.
Speedy recovery to Hannah Leddy and Grace Walsh who picked up knocks.
