O’ Toole Park on Wednesday night was the venue for the opening game of the Senior A Championship defence. Two first half goals, from Naoise Maguire and Conal Keaney, gave the Boden boys a lead going into the half time break which they would never give up. St. Pat’s, to their credit, made it very difficult for the Boden lads……. they hit the net twice in the second half but Boden had enough in the tank to run out winners on a scoreline of 2 14 to 2 10.
A worry for the Boden lads was a first half injury to Shane Durkin. Shane twisted his ankle and hopefully this morning’s x-ray will bring good news for Shane.
