The Centenary Blitz took place on a beautiful Sunday morning in St. Endas Park.

The organisers were up early to transport goal posts and set up pitches ready for the arrival of the Under 12 girls from Boden, Raheny, Kilmacud, Faughs and Templeogue Synge Street.

The Boden Camogie girls took the Shield competition against a valiant Faughs team while Kilmacud beat Raheny in the Camogie Cup final. Boden had led both group games against Raheny and Kilmacud at half time but were pegged back to a loss and a draw respectively and will come back stronger from the experience.

All teams then marched proudly behind their banners to the Pearse museum for a presentation of trophies with each girl receiving a commemorative scroll (along with some gratefully received Taytos!)

Great thanks to the organising committee and to teams from Kilmacud, Raheny, Templeogue Synge Street and Faughs for making it a great day for all. Finally, thanks to Liam Cunningham for the wonderful photos of the event and to Senior player Emer Lucey for making the presentations.
