Crucial Weekend in Adult Hurling Championships
This weekend, the Adult Championships get to the business end of the year. It’s the final round of games and they will determine the final positions of each team and how they will progress in their respective championships.
- Senior 1 play their last game against Craobh Chiaráin. A win guarantees second place in the group and a Quarter Final spot. A loss and a Whitehall win over Naomh Jude would see Boden drop to third. They would still qualify for the QF. The opponent in the next round has yet to be determined.
- Senior 2 play Ballinteer St. Johns and a relegation play off against 4th or 5th in the other group already awaits regardless of the result.
- The Intermediates are free this weekend but will have one last game against 4th in the other group to avoid relegation.
- The Junior A team play Crumlin and a win or a draw will ensure second place in the group. A loss will still see them finish 4th in the group and they would still qualify for the Quarter Finals.
- The Junior D team are currently second in the group. A win over St. Brigid’s should cement that position but in the group but a Quarter Final is already secure.
- The Junior G are currently top of their group and a win over Na Gaeil Aeracha will see them remain in top position. They are assured of a Quarter Final spot but a loss would see then lose the top spot.
As always, support is crucial but particularly so this weekend as each team vies for best position in their respective groups.
