Last Saturday was a Festival of Football with Boden getting off to a great start by beating Nemo Rangers from Cork and finished their last match which was the Semi Final against Legion from South Kerry at 8pm as light was fading fast. In the interim Boden had encountered a titanic tussle against An Daingean and had to meet them again in a 10 Minute Play off to see who would progress to the Semi Final against Legion, Boden winning out 3-3 to 1-2.

All the boys showed true grit and determination in the Final against Kerins O’Rahilly and are the first Dublin club to lift the trophy in its 25th Year with a 2-8 to 0-8 Score line.

16 Clubs from all parts of the country took part and to cap a superb tournament for Boden, Barry Mc Garry (right) picked up the Player of the Tournament award bagging an impressive 6-7 in the process. Also a huge word of thanks to John Mitchells GAA Club in Tralee who hosted the lads and extended their hospitality to all the players and parents.

Congratulations to all the Boys and Team Management consisting of Martin (Spud) Murphy, Brian Stafford, Damien Mc Donnell and Paddy Kirwan.
