Minor A ladies football Rd3 & Rd4 league

Our minor girls had a busy week last week as they travelled out to St Maurs on Monday for Rd3 of the league and then another away trip to Na Fianna (refixed from end March on account of LC orals) in Rd4 on Friday last.

The Boden girls came up short in both games, a 2 goal deficit out in St Maurs on a very windy evening and a 4 pt deficit out in Mobhi Rd in an enthralling encounter. Most notable was their Rd4 game against a strong Na Fianna side where they trailed 1:08 at half time but dug deep and produced a wonderful team performance in the second half only to come up short in the end, arguably unlucky not to come away the victors or at least with a share of the points. These minor girls are learning fast and are growing stronger as a unit as the weeks pass. With only 2 games to go there is a sense of new found determination among the girls which surely will bear some fruit by season’s end.

We are proud of you girls, onwards and upwards!

Many thanks to Dave Rusk for the photos!
