Pathway to Adult Player
The pathway from Minor to Adult player was identified in the Club Strategic Review as of critical importance to the Club across all codes. The performance of our Minors across all codes in A and B championships in recent weeks illustrates the huge potential we have to integrate these players into our Adult teams at all grades. However, in the absence of a structured approach, experience shows that we will lose a significant number of these players.
Conor Dolan, who is the Player Representative on the Club Executive, is Chairman of a Review Group which will make recommendations to the Club Executive on implementing an agreed Club approach of Pathway to Adult Player across all codes .
The terms of reference and composition of the group which is player led is attached. The Club Executive views this initiative as a top priority of huge significance to the health of Adult games in Ballyboden over the coming years. I would encourage everyone to share their views with the group over the coming weeks . A discussion forum for members will be held in the Club in early January.
