A combined Senior B/Junior camogie selection reached the final of the Setanta tournament on Saturday. Team is seen with members of an Chraobh Rua club, Brussels with Margaret Francois, a founder of camogie in the club and Mona O’Sullivan (team manager)
The team beat Na Fianna, Craobh Rua to reach the semi finals where a five goal blitz by Fiona Ní Shúilleabháin put the side in the final before Erins Isle triumphed by a point. Ciara Scallan returned to play in the final after undergoing a range of injections for her forthcoming holiday.
The entire panel played superbly – Sarah Dowling, Sarah Noonan, Jane Hogan, Niamh Hogan, Maria Shanahan, Mary Hyland, Róisín Ní Shúilleabháin, Aoife Tobin, Roisin Walsh and Roisin Ryan.
The Junior B hurling team also reached the final before losing narrowly to Setanta.
