Club members were saddened to learn of the death yesterday of our friend Paddy Conway.  Father of club members Deirdre, Sinéad and Ciara, and grandfather to Hannah, Megan, Molly, Cormac,  Mark and Ciarán, Paddy was a regular in the club when the drama group put on a play, when there were songs to sung or grandchildren playing matches to be supported.  Paddy has had a long history with Ballyboden St. Endas and has been part of the fibre of the club for most of our 50 years.  He fulfilled many roles including Vice-Chairman, Executive Member, football and camogie manager and mentor, actor and member of the bar committee.  Paddy was never afraid of hard work and contributed hugely to the club, but he did everything with his trademark bit of devilment and with a wide grin, and his humour and presence will be greatly missed around the Firhouse Road.
Our sincere sympathies to Paddy’s beloved wife Josephine and to all of the extended Conway clan.  Suaimhneas Síoraí dá anam uasal
