The ‘Camogie Gathering 2013’ – Friday July 26th & Saturday 27th.
A mix of Boden Senior3, Senior 6 and U16 camogie players took part in the Camogie Gathering event
last weekend, together with, visiting teams from Toronto,UK teams, Fullen Gaels, Croydon and Tara and,
Dublin teams Na Fianna, Vincents and St BrigidsFixtures started on friday with all teams getting at least two matches in Croke Park.
Despite, thunder, lightening and flash floods all made it to Croke Park on time, and, as Boden entered the stadium from the dressing room, the sun came back out.
The team gave a great display of skill and commitment and were totally undaunted by their surroundings
in both their matches. Each player leaving Croke Park with the wonderful memory of showing their true
potential as players ie. winners.
Saturdays matches were held in Na Fianna on Mobhi rd where the girls had the pleasure of playing
Toronto and then Fullen Gaels.
A big thank you to the Gathering Committee, the Dublin Camogie board and, Na Fianna for all their hard work and inviting us to take part.
An even bigger thanks goes to our Boden players who took part with such enthusiasm
and represented the club so wonderfully, as always.
