Ballyboden Ladies B team had an excellent win over Scoil Ui Chonaill in a Division 3 League game on the Prunty on Wednesday 11th May.
A commanding first-half performance was the key to the victory in a terrific game of football. Goals win games and Boden scored a brace in the first half with Aoife Durkin and Rebecca Foley finding the net after great passing movements, the team went to the break leading 2 06 to 1 02. The second half was low scoring with both defences on top allowing Boden to run out winners on a score line of 2 08 to 1 06.This was a terrific team effort with excellent defending by all 6 defenders, time and time again we won possession back through solid defending from Scoil’s forwards and moved the ball quickly into an attacking position. A special mention for Aoife and Rachel who returned to play after recent injuries and both played as if they were never away. Also, Alanna McGarry was playing her 1st game of the season after her return from Canada.
