Our Intermediate Camogie team travelled northside to take on Whitehall Colmcille in the third round of the championship last Thursday.  Both sides had won their two opening games so this was seen as a key contest in the division.  It turned out to be a cracking championship battle, tough challenges given and taken in equal measure, with the referee helping by letting the game flow which added to the game as a spectacle.  Ballyboden got a good early start and took their scores when the opportunities arose, while Whitehall came up against a mean backline on the night.  The early scores for Ballyboden were the difference in the end and allowed them to keep their noses slightly ahead throughout the game.

Despite topping the group, Boden still need a result at home against Lucan on Thursday evening to guarantee a spot in the final.  It’s a must win game for Lucan so it set-up nicely for an intriguing contest.
