Minor C vs Clontarf

The Minor C team got off to a flying start to the Championship with a comprehensive win against Clontarf in Ballycullen on Sunday morning. We came out of the blocks quickly with an early goal to settle the nerves. Boden then slowly began to take control of midfield and our defence was on top as well. We followed  up with some excellent scores to take a healthy lead into the break. Boden continued to dominate in the second half but conceded a soft goal to give Clontarf some hope. However we recovered our composure to run out comfortable winners in the end. We did waste a lot of good scoring chances (we won’t mention any names) during the game and will need to sharpen up this aspect of our play for the next game. Many thanks to the U16 management and players who helped us out on the day. it was also good to see our “walking wounded ” out supporting their team mates.
