Senior B Camogie vs Whitehall Colmcilles, Cloghran 5.5.22
Another ‘not for the faint hearted’ trip across the M50 brought the Senior B camogie team to Cloghran to meet Whitehall Colmcilles. In search of back to back wins in this league campaign, yet again the Boden girls got off to the slower start and found themselves trailing 1:04 to no score in the first quarter. Then, as if a switch was flicked, the Boden girls burst into life and blitzed their opponents in the 2nd quarter with a spate of brilliantly engineered passages of possession and movement of the ball (from both our forwards and backs) culminating in some super scores all from play.

Both teams exchanged points at the start of the 2nd half and it looked like we were in for a good tussle for the next 25mins. However, as unpredictable & chaotic that sport is at the best of times, the ensuing 10 mins staged a purple patch from Whitehall who registered 2:04 to no reply. Now into the final quarter, the Boden girls struggled to take back control of the game as they had already done in the 1st half. Despite all their efforts, scores were now hard got against a Whitehall side that were growing in confidence. Converting a few more points in the last few minutes to seal the victory, they were just the better team on the day.
A quieter M50 and a quieter car on the way home.
