SENIORS BEATEN BY A DOMINANT BALLYMUN

A perfect storm of Boden not reaching their own high standards and Ballymun playing the game of their lives meant a resounding defeat for our Senior Footballers in the DSFC Final yesterday in Parnell Park. While the faithful watched on at home or followed on Twitter, there wasn’t much in it for the first quarter but we had no answer to the Ballymun onslaught that ensued in the second quarter and went in 0-14 to 0-04 down at half time. We huffed and puffed and hit more wides that we care to remember but there was no miracle comeback despite the efforts of the lads. We’ll take it on the chin, take stock and move on and will have better days no doubt. Thanks to the players and management for a great run and for giving us some much needed cheer throughout the last few months.
