Boden U9 Girls take on Raheny at Sancta Maria
At last!!! For the first time this year, warm sunshine greeted our U9 Girls footballers at Sancta Maria on Sunday afternoon as they welcomed the girls from Raheny. And the warm weather clearly suited our girls as watching mums and dads were treated to an hour of committed competitive football from all three teams on show.
This was just the girls’ third football match since embarking on their Go Games, but it certainly didn’t seem like it as they quickly settles into their positions and held their shape. Some committed play, some lovely passing and some fine scores underlined how well the girls have taken to match play, and how well all the hard work at training has paid off.
It was a similar story on a somewhat colder Saturday evening, also in Sancta Maria, as our other 3 teams took on our visitors from Naomh Olaf. Here again, the Boden girls showed great commitment, competing for every ball, and showing great team play and determination in every area of the field.
Well done to all our girls, your coaches are very proud of you.
