The result did not go Dublin’s way on Saturday afternoon, but the turnout on Firhouse Road on the morning of the game bodes very well for the future of Ballyboden and Dublin. Over 150 arrived in PUM to participate in “Cúpla Poc for the Dubs”. They joined our Senior Hurlers in a poc around on PUM and showed off their skills. The future is indeed bright and many thanks to all the boys and girls who turned up to give a send off to Paddy, James and David. The result on the day was not what we hoped but there are brighter days ahead. Beidh lá eile ag an bPaorach!!
Senior Captain, Stephen O’ Connor advised those present to keep practicing and in particular to practice when no one was looking!!! Timmy Hammersly encouraged the children to support our Adult teams and that they in turn would support them. Ar aghaidh linn le chéile. Hurling Chairman, John Kirwan was there in his Dublin jersey and encouraged all present to support Boden and the Dubs.
Sincere thanks to Timmy Hammersly for organising the event.
