This was a full blooded encounter with no quarter asked or given by either team on the fine wide main pitch at Na Fianna HQ.
Boden led the game from the start and were the better team throughout with Daragh Smyth and Lee McConnell to the fore, but a determined Na Fianna team remained in touch throughout. Having said tha, Boden would have been far more comfortable winners had they turned a bakers’ dozen of wides into some well-deserved scores.
This Boden team are known for their fighting qualities, but are now starting to play with far more cohesion and showed some great team interplay. There is still plenty of room for improvement but it was a very encouraging start to the season nonetheless. A league win on the road on the Northside is always to be savoured!
The Minors then finished off the day with an excellent workshop on Team Building led by Timmy Hammersley and Dave Sweeney back in the club.
