Adult Cup Division One Ballyboden St Endas v Clanna Gael Fontenoy, Wednesday 14th June, Sean Moore Park, Ringsend. It’s never an ideal situation from both teams point of view when the game ends up as a “hammering “, it doesn’t benefit either team, and that’s how it ended, unfortunately last Wednesday when our Senior A ladies footballers travelled to Ringsend to take on Clanna Gael.
From a Ballyboden point of view, it was another opportunity to give Dublin minors Karrie Rudden and Heather Bolger more senior game time and introduce current minors Amy Brennan, Rachel Heavey and Ailbhe Christie to their first taste of senior football. Full credit to Clanna Gael who were anxious to fulfil the fixture but were ultimately outclassed by a Boden side who never let up for the full hour.
