Camán to Croker 2013.

The under 12 Camogie team enjoyed a great morning at the recent Camán to Croker event hosted by the Camogie Association in Croke Park. The event held on April 6th saw teams from 48 clubs participate in a round robin blitz, each team playing three matches. Boden met Trim, Birr and Cappagh of Kildare in a tough competitive pool. All four sides represented their clubs and counties in outstanding style – the standard of play and the level of sportsmanship was impressive. The day was a huge success in overall terms – and a great success for the Boden team who played some excellent hurling while remaining unbeaten. The games were followed by a tour of the Museum. Huge thanks to all in the Camogie Association and in Croke Park for their excellent organisation – the girls had a most enjoyable outing. Well done to the mentors – Ger Delaney, Diarmuid Fitzgerald and Roisin Walsh. Thanks to the large number of enthusiastic parents who came to support.

Unfortunately numbers at the event were very limited – other members of this big under 12 panel will get their chance to do Boden proud on another day.
