Following on from their opening win against Ballinteer St. John’s, the Minor A hurlers returned to PUM to take on Lucan in round two of their league campaign. The opening 15 minutes was an extremely competitive and tight affair as both teams rattled in a goal a piece and points were freely exchanged. Lucan were dominant in winning primary possession, but the work rate and energy of Boden was such that Lucan could not capitalize. That work rate and energy finally paid off for Boden when a quick-fire hat-trick of goals before half time effectively broke Lucan hearts. Boden went in leading 5:06 to 1:08 at half time with a wind at their backs to come.

The second half was all about keeping the scoreboard ticking over and not allowing Lucan to get back into the game. Boden hit the back of the net again and punished Lucan for any fouls committed within free scoring distance. Boden ran out comfortable winners at full time.

Ballyboden St. Endas 6:12 Lucan 2:09.
