The Club has agreed in principle to allow Vodaphone to apply for planning permission for a telecommunications structure beside the entrance to the Club car park at Páirc Úí Mhurchú. This will result in much improved Vodaphone mobile phone and wireless broadband coverage in the general Knocklyon area and there will also be an annual fee payable to the Club. This fee will be of considerable assistance to the Club in balancing its books.
Attached is a photograph of a similar structure at the entrance to the Three Rock Rovers Hockey Club, Grange Road, Rathfarnham, beside Marley Park.
Any comments on this proposal should be forwarded to the Club Secretary, Annette Sheehan within the next two weeks. Vodaphone will then be applying for planning permission to erect the structure.
