Ballyboden St. Enda’s GAA Club has three distinct roles with responsibility for Child Protection
1. Designated Liaison Person (DLP), currently the Club Chairperson Donagh O’Farrell, who is responsible for dealing with concerns relating to the possible abuse of children.

BBSE has adopted all provisions of the Child First Act, including those in relation to the mandatory reporting of child abuse. Any concerns related to potential abuse should be immediately reported to the DLP or CCO.
It is the responsibility of the CCO and the SCOs in BBSE, working with other relevant Club Committees, to:
- ensure a child and youth centred ethos is promoted within the Club, that enables all our young people can participate, enjoy and benefit from our Gaelic Games in safe and enjoyable surroundings
- ensure that the GAA Code of Behaviour (underage) and Safeguarding guidelines and policies are implemented effectively throughout the Club
- approve and monitor Garda Vetting applications and Safeguarding training compliance for relevant persons working with children in the Club
- deal with any concerns or enquiries about child protection or safety issues
- work together to promote consistency across the Club on implementation of policies and handling of enquiries.
Team mentors, juvenile players or the parents / guardians of juvenile players can contact any of our Children’s Officers regardless of section with any concerns or enquiries.

Ballyboden St. Endas has a code of behaviour for Juvenile Coaches and a code of behaviour for Parents.
Both are derived from the Official Code of Behaviour (Underage), which is the mandatory Code of Behaviour for all Gaelic Games Associations in relation to underage players:

The Code replaces all previous Codes and is a mandatory Code of Behaviour for all Gaelic Games Associations in our work with underage players. It is a comprehensive good practice guidance publication and covers all areas of concern.
