The  took place on Saturday. Thousands of calls & texts were received in the lead up to the day and the address details collated. We are extremely grateful to the dozens of Club volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the day – we were fortunate once again with the weather being on our side.  We collected in excess of 1,850 trees from Kiltipper, Firhouse, Ballycullen, Knocklyon, Rathfarnham, Ballyboden, Whitechurch & Churchtown.
This fundraiser continues to grow and epitomises the great relationship between the Club and the local community.
We would like to thank:
·       AJ Grab Hire for once again transporting the huge volume of trees on the day, it wouldn’t be possible to transport this volume of trees without their generosity.
·       South Dublin County Council for once again facilitating us in the disposing and shredding of the trees.
·       Laura & Catherine for looking after the administration on the day
·       Geraldine, Catherine, Susan & Pauline for serving the refreshments – and Damien Coleman for providing same
·       The many van, truck & trailer owners for once again making themselves available
·       The 120 volunteers who helped on the day – an amazing feat to have all trees collected by 3pm
Organising committee – Kieran Rudden, Eoin Reid, Keith McCluskey, Eamonn Clarke, Diarmuid Fitzgerald, Peter Wall, Cathal Fitzgerald & Gerry White – see you next year!!
