Ballyboden senior ladies enjoyed a very successful day at the All Ireland Sevens in Naomh Marnóg by winning three games drawing one and losing their last game in the quarter final  to the eventual winners Kilerarin Co Galway.
Boden lined out with a mix of youth and experience : Rachel Nugent, Elaine Mc Grath, Aoife O Brien, Sarah O Brien, Cathy O Neill, Sinead Crowley, Grainne Archbold, Niamh McMahon, Katie Murphy, Emma Grey, Sinead Ryan, Alisha Fitzpatrick. These girls can be rightfully proud of their performances throughout against some tough opposition.

Game two                Boden 0 – 7; St. Brendans Galway 1 – 4 (draw)
Game three              Boden 5 – 9 ; Breda (Co. Down)  0 – 0.
Game four              Boden 5 – 3 ; Errigal Chiaráin (Tyrone) 0 – 8
Game five Q. Final: Boden 1 – 2 ; Kilearin (Galway) 7 – 3.

The outstanding performance was saved for game four when a quality Errigal Chiaráin side were outplayed and kept goaless throughout. The girls applied to the tactics to perfection while at the same time playing superb possession football.
