The Ballyboden B team played Cuala B in Páirc Uí Mhurchú on Wednesday 16/06/21
Ballyboden, whose starting 15 included debuts for Sinead Crowley and Kelly Whelan got off to a flying start with early points from Aine Duffy (3) and Chloe Murphy (2). The Boden defence led by Grace Walsh were well on top and our dynamic midfield duo Eimear and Laura provided a steady supply of ball to the inside forwards. Boden continued to pile on the pressure and were 1-11 to 0-1 in front when we heard the shrill referee’s whistle blow for half time.
The second half continued in the same pattern with an early goal from Orlaith and points from a range of scorers to leave the score at full time at 2-23 to 0-2 in favour of the Boden girls. Apart from those already mentioned, there were great performances from Elizabeth Manning at wing back and regular cornerback Karen Cooney who came off the bench to score 2 points. Thanks to Minor Manager, Kieran Rudden who released Erin Christie to play with us
Next up is Naomh Olafs who will be a tough opponent at home next Wednesday.
