On Sunday 20th January 2019 ten under 15 Ballyboden St. Endas hurlers participated in an under 15 doubles handball tournament in St. Brigid’s GAA Club against teams from St. Brigids, St. Marks and Na Fianna and acquitted themselves with great distinction. Medals were presented by former All-Ireland Handball Singles Winner Eoin Kennedy. This was the first time that the Club participated in a Handball competition and fulfils one of the aims of the Club’s Caoga Blian af Fas committee for 2019. Enda Timoney, a former member of Ballyboden St. Endas was the man in charge and the competition ran like clockwork. The boys, members of our under 15 hurling team which is managed by Emmet Pullan have been training indoors under the watchful eye of coach Gary McNulty in St. Colmcille’s School for a number of weeks and have improved with every session. There was a large attendance which included many parents, mentors, the Club’s Director of Coaching Brian O’Regan and the Chairman of the Club’s 50th Anniversary Committee John Kirwan.
