Ballyboden St Endas 1-11 Lucan Sarsfield 0-4
On Tuesday evening in front of a fine crowd at pairc Ui Murchu, the Boden girls took home the first silverware of 2013.
After a slow start the home side picked off some fine scores.
Ahead by 5 points at half time, Boden pulled away during the 2nd half, with the experienced players coming to the fore. They always looked as if they would run out winners, and the late goal put a fair reflection on the scoreline.
The Summer Cup 2013 has been notable for the chance that management has given the younger players, with 6 U16 players taking the field at various stages. This has been a successful integration for all of these girls into the Adult ranks, and it bodes well for the future.
