To All of the Ballyboden St. Enda’s Family,

We are all shocked at the untimely passing our much loved friend, clubmate, team manager and leader, Brendan Moran and somewhat comforted by the outpouring of affection from across the spectrum of Dublin GAA.  Brendan was a kind, caring, witty man, full of integrity and he will be a loss to us all individually and as a club.
Brendan’s funeral arrangements are at https://rip.ie/death-notice/brendan-moran-rathfarnham-dublin/428233 but, due to Government regulations, attendance is at the funeral is restricted.  In order to show our affection for Brendan, we will hold a guard of honour on Wednesday morning as he passes the club for the last time and we would love as many club members as possible to participate in a socially distant manner.  The guard of honour will be from the Blue Haven up to the club and around the car-park – Brendan took great pride and delight in the recent works in the club.
Members are asked to:
  • Assemble from 08:30 from the Blue Haven towards the club
  • Walk to the club or else park in the Cherryfield car-park as we would like to leave the car park empty of cars.
  • Wear a Ballyboden St. Enda’s Top
  • Stand 2m apart along the route.
Separately, as a mark of respect to Brendan, we ask that no club training would take place tomorrow, Tuesday 14th July between 17:00 and 19:30, which is the time that Brendan will be reposing in Massey’s funeral home.
In life, Brendan always did everything right and left no stone unturned to ensure that things were done properly.  Let’s make sure that we say goodbye to him in a manner of which he would be proud.
Le meas,
Ciarán
