Countdown begins in earnest to this years All-Ireland football final and surely no-one would begrudge Mayo a victory – except this year of course!!. The ‘Mayo Mafia’ will no doubt be out in force saying they’re the underdogs! However before we go there, let’s catch-up on this weeks football action.

Seniors and Inters continue with their preparation for c/ship.
However, there were no league fixtures for both teams this weekend.

The Junior A’s were narrowly defeated away to Na Fianna on a scoreline of 3-6 to 2-7.
Hopefully they can get results in their last 2 league games.

The Junior B’s were also beaten by Lucan by a score of 3-13 to 1-05.

Next weekend sees all our Minor teams in Championship action again in the second instalment of their round-robin series – see poster for details. These matches will have an early start Sunday morning because of the All-Ireland football final. Good luck to all concerned.

C/ship fixtures have been fixed for Friday October 4th (Inters) and Saturday October 5th (Seniors).
As always see the website for updated fixtures.

Getting back to Sundays All-Ireland football final, we would like to wish Michael Darragh, Declan and Darragh and their Dublin colleagues the very best in their quest for Sam. The night before the All-Ireland is always a special occasion in the club and this year will be no exception, come on down to experience the pre-match gossip, nerves and banter on Saturday night!
Don’t forget if you have no ticket for the match itself why not join the rest of the club and watch it on the big screen. A special thanks also to Conor, Mark, Kevin & Co for putting up all the decorations around the locality and club.
Finally thanks to everyone for your continued support of our teams.
