Huge thanks and appreciation to all of the club members, officers, ex-chairpersons, trustees who came out last night to acknowledge the generous support of Dave and Anne Bobbett and H&K to Ballyboden St. Endas. Special thanks to all of the players, mentors and managers who took time out from championship preparation to show their appreciation for David, Anne and H&K. A highlight of the evening was a presentation of a painting by club hurler, David Sweeney, depicting the projects which the generous loan from David & Anne enabled – the refurbishment of Páirc Uí Mhurchú and the gym, the building of the ball-wall and training area in Sancta Maria, the purchase of the stage for presentations and musical and drama productions and the refurbishment of the building in which SPARC sports’ medicine centre is based. The strength and depth of the Ballyboden St. Endas community was evident and a fitting acknowledgement of the contribution of H&K.
